The next big Pokémon TCG set has just been officially announced — Pokémon TCG: Mega Evolution — Chaos Rising drops on May 22, 2026 and it's already generating serious hype in the community.

What Is Chaos Rising?

Chaos Rising is the fourth set in the Mega Evolution series, continuing the Pokémon Legends: Z-A theme. The set centres on Lumiose City being thrown into chaos as an energy surge causes Mega Evolution Pokémon to spiral out of control. Mega Greninja ex is the cover star, with Mega Floette ex playing the villain of the piece.

122 cards in total, including 20+ Trainer cards and over 35 Special Illustration Rares. It's a smaller set — similar in size to Perfect Order — but the artwork looks seriously impressive.

Cards to Watch

  • Mega Greninja ex (SIR) — Shown blurring through rain-soaked Lumiose City at full speed. Going to be one of the most hunted cards in the set.
  • Mega Floette ex — The chase antagonist card. Artwork looks incredible.
  • Mega Pyroar ex & Mega Dragalge ex — Both confirmed. Dragalge's SIR shows it camouflaged in a glowing kelp forest — stunning card.
  • AZ's Tranquility (Supporter SIR) — AZ reunited with his Floette. This is going to be expensive.

New Gameplay Mechanic

Chaos Rising introduces the Mega Turbo Rule. In the original XY era, Mega Evolving ended your turn immediately. In this set it doesn't — but you have to flip a coin. That risk vs reward element is going to shake up how Mega Evolution decks are built and played competitively.

Raffle Info

As with all our hyped releases, Chaos Rising products will be going through our raffle system rather than open sale. Prereleases begin May 9th, with the global release on May 22nd.
